Fire Fighting crew/Firemen

 Whenever there are fire accrues in a city, town or village then the first professional responder is the department of Fire Service. They will try to limit the fire to a specific area and the lost will minimum. This work will be done by a professional team and the team will depend on the following members.

Fire Crew:

1.     Leading Fireman                Crew In charge

2.     Driver                                     Driver  cum Operator

3.     Fireman                                 No. 1

4.     Fireman                                 No.2

5.     Fireman                                 No.3

6.     Fireman                                 No.4

Firemen:

·       Responsible for cleaning the rear of the vehicle crew cabin.

·       Checking and cleaning of all fire equipment on daily basis.

·       Practice using equipment regularly.

·       Cleaning and storing hoses after use.

·       Check CO2 and BA cylinders n daily basis.

·       Ensure the presence of water in the vehicle.

·       In case of emergency, take action under the crew number.

Driver cum Operator:

·       He is responsible for:

o   Entry of vehicle’s arrival and departure in daily dairy book.

o   Checked the fuel on daily basis.

o   Fill in the vehicle logbook on a daily basis.

o   Check the working position of the Public Address System.

o   Check the function of the communication base and ensure timely contact with the control room.

·       Completely trained to operate the Pump.

o   Have complete information about PTO.

o   Know the uses of PTO.

o   Knows about section hoses and there uses.

o   Know about delivery walls and section walls and refilling walls.

o   Have to knowledge about the use of the accelerator on the pump.

o   Be fully trained in all crew signals.

Leading Fireman:

In peace:

1.     He will be responsible of the crew member’s attendance, leave, and absentee.                                                       (In absence of shift in charge /fire officer)

2.     He will be responsible of crew’s disciplining, and uniforms.

(In absence of shift in charge /fire officer)

3.     He is responsible to complete the Parade state and Daily Dairy Book.

(In absence of shift in charge /fire officer)

4.     He is responsible to informed about the cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles.

5.     He is responsible about the cleanliness and maintenance of Fire equipment.

6.     He is responsible to check the equipment in daily basis.

7.     This is his duty to check the radio system daily basis.

8.     Checking of the PAS (Public Address System) on daily basis is his duty.

9.     Conformed that the bacon light is working properly.

In case of Emergency:

1.     Leading the crew

2.     Inform the crew members about the emergency situation.

3.     Pass the order about the uses of Hose pipe, Hose real and monitor Branch.

4.     Pass the Order about the equipment that can be used in emergency situation.

5.     Work with the crew members as first branch man.

6.     Issuing orders to the crew members keeping in view the situation.

Post Mission:

1.     Collecting information about the incident place.

2.     Estimating losses.

3.     Make a list of thing that has been saved from fire.

4.     Take signature of fire certificate (owner, bystander, policeman)

5.     Write the fire report in daily dairy book.
